Ammonium chloride (chemical formula: NHCl) is a kind of quick acting nitrogen chemical fertilizer with nitrogen content of about 25%, belonging to physiological acid fertilizer. We have designed a kind of roller press granulator, which is very suitable for the granulation process of this fertilizer.
Ammonium chloride is a colorless crystal or white crystalline powder; odorless, salty, cool and slightly bitter; it has hygroscopic properties. It is suitable for wheat, rice, cotton, corn, hemp, rape and other crops. Especially for cotton and linen crops, ammonium chloride has the effect of enhancing fiber toughness and tensile strength and improving quality. It can be used as a chemical fertilizer, which is a nitrogen fertilizer, but ammoniated chemical fertilizers cannot be used together with alkaline chemical fertilizers, nor should they be used in saline soil to avoid reducing fertilizer efficiency. Ammonium chloride is a strong acid and weak base salt, which releases acidity at high temperatures. Ammonium chloride is often used as a curing agent when casting hot core boxes to make cores.
