Disc granulation
According to the type of granulation container, there are two kinds of rolling granulation equipment commonly used in the fertilizer industry: disc granulator and rotary drum granulator.
Vibrating granulator (Horizontal mixer, vertical disc mixer) also belongs to the category of rolling granulator. A disc granulator is a machine that puts raw material particles into a tilted rotating plate, adding water or a granulation accelerator (liquid) to it according to the situation, and rolling granulation.
Disc granulator features:
(1) Simple structure, easy operation, easy maintenance. In particular, because you can directly see the granulation situation in the tray, the replacement and adjustment operation is convenient and quick.
(2) It has classification effect. Due to the role of centrifugal force, the rolling track of the material in the disc rolls smaller and smaller with the increase of the particle size, and when the required particle size is reached, it automatically pops out from the edge of the disc. The particle size of the product is relatively uniform.
(3) The product has high particle strength and good quality. Because the particles gradually increase in the rolling wrestling process, its density is high, the surface is smooth, and it is not easy to crush.
(4) The main price is low and the required installation area is small. In the case of the same output, the price of the disc granulator itself is two-thirds of the drum granulator, and the installation area is about half of the drum granulator.
The disadvantage is that because the disc is open, it is not suitable for the raw materials with a lot of dust and those that will undergo chemical reactions during the granulation process and release harmful gases.

The disc granulator is composed of a disc, a motor, a reducer, a rotating shaft, an inclination adjustment device, an arm, a spray, a scraper, etc. The motor output rotates the disc through a rotating shaft.
